La superficie de l'ancien lac, maintenant séché, est définie par une évacuation de l'eau du bassin versant une superficie d'environ 110 Ha (1'10 km2) sensiblement délimitée par les arêtes de la Serreta, la colline barre d'outils, sciage Horabona de la colline d'El Prat del Raval, sciage Février, sciage Cross, sciage du geai, Puig de la Devesa et le plateau de la Croix. Son drainage naturel se produit à l'extrémité nord de la zone située entre la crête et le Plan d'Serreta Crosa, formant la naissance du ruisseau du lac.
